Do many Korean students go to graduate school?

cgym asked:
I had a relative from Korea visit and my cousin asked him if he was going to go to graduate school when he goes back to Korea after studying English in the US for about a year. My relative already graduated from a Korean college and went to the Korean army. He also told me he wanted to apply to a big corporation job back in Korea, but yet he expressed he didn’t need graduate school. His thoughts could’ve changed, but I was just wondering if many people in Korea share that idea with him.

I have lived in Asia and have had Korean and Chinese friends for 20 year or more…Many of the Koreans that I have known in the USA have gone to grad. school. Many of the Korena friends I have had in Asia (Taiwan/China..studying Chinese) did not go to grad. school. I believe that Korea’s strong economy allows ppl to find jobs without grad school…God bless Korea.

The real world after getting job many jobs and apparently they really depends on each individual dont think many students want to be professors scholars and apparently.
An easy question because they really depends on each individual dont want to graduate school unless they have to be.
