I am a history major looking to go to graduate school. I was wondering how a graduate admissions board would view a 100 level class being taken on the web?

I see that every college has a graduate school of arts and science but what degree can you get from there? Will I be able to get a M.A in economics there? If I decide to enroll in a graduate school of arts and science, will I still be able to get a professional degree like a JD or a MBA? Thanks.

Zach K asked:

I graduated from college in May 2008 and plan to go to graduate school in the fall of 2010, and I’m in the process of asking my old professors for letters of recommendation. My question is do I have them send me the letters or do I have them send the schools to which I’m applying the letters? If they are to send them to the schools to which I’m applying, then doesn’t this mean that all of my application materials will come piece by piece instead of all in one bundle?

I am just about done with my degree and would like to obtain an mba/jd degree. It is four years of graduate school total (including going through the summer. My question is how do people that are not wealthy typically go about funding this? Can you borrow about as much as you think you will need to pay for tuition and live off of? Thanks in advance!
So how do you pay for normal living expenses like rent, food, etc. Do you have to work to cover the rest of these?

Melissa Peterman asked:

If you are not satisfied with your job or perhaps you are looking for work, it may be difficult to find what you are looking for in this economy. Many people look to community and technical colleges to learn new skills to get their resume’s to the top of the pile, without spending a lot of money or time.

Cosmetic Laser Schools- Less Money and Time than You Think

Vocational schools, night schools and even graduate schools offer flexible schedules to make it easy for students who need to or prefer to work part time and go to school in the evenings.

One of the most sought after vocational schools today are cosmetic laser schools. Cosmetic laser certification can open new and exciting doors for people looking for a change in their careers. Depending on what works for you, often times both morning and evening classes are available. Because vocational schools often focus on just one subject, students can learn a lot about one thing and get their degree in a shorter amount of time than a 4-year school that teaches a little bit about everything over a longer period of time.

Why a Laser School Certification is a Great Choice, Even in This Economy

They say there are a couple things in life that are recession proof and interestingly enough-most of them are emotionally related.  People will always get their hair cut and make appointments to spend money on services for themselves but they will stop spending money on other things they could more-easily go without, like landscaping, car detailing and going out to dinner at expensive restaurants. Therefore, when it comes to elective healthcare, personal and emotional appointments win out over dentists, annual doctor appointments and car maintenance. When you look at the numbers for elective treatments in 2007, you may want to think about a job in a medical-spa.

Top 5 Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Procedures In 2007

1. Botox- 4.6 Million

2. Hyaluronic Acid- 1,051,000

3. Chemical Peel- 1,025,000

4. Laser Hair Removal- 906,000

5. Microderm abrasion- 897,000

The statistics are staggering and will only continue to grow as people learn and see all about the benefits of laser hair removal, Juvederm, Restylane and Microderm abrasion.

Before Committing to Just Any Laser School

•    It may be worth traveling to attend a school out of state to find a superior program.

•    Make certain that the training program is physician directed.

•    It is vital that the curriculum for a course of this type include both classroom and extensive hands-on training, a wide range of equipment on hand for you to work with so that you can gain valuable experience with different technologies

When thinking about going back to school to improve either your salary, change jobs/career or thinking about colleges to attend after high school, it would be wise to look into cosmetic laser schools and compare the cost and time for each college compared to the cost of going to four year or two-year program that is highly expensive. The last thing you want to find is that the job you are now qualified for once you’ve graduated can’t even pay your student loans. Look to the future of elective health care, look to laser schools for laser certification.

I am currently finishing my undergraduate program getting my BS in Accounting in Boston. I am looking into doing 1 year of graduate school for my masters, which would satisfy my 150-credit CPA requirement.

I am also a snowboarder getting slightly bored of riding here in new england. I would love to spend an entire winter near true powder.

Can anyone recommend a good accounting program where I can be local to some awesome snowboarding?
