Hello -
I am writing an essay for a Graduate School Application, and the prompt says that it should be at least 200 words. How long do you think it should be in the end? I don’t want it to be a full page and have them not even want to read it all. On the flipside, I don’t want to write 200-300 words and have them think I couldn’t be bothered to write a decent essay. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I’m trying to work out my schedule. I’m going to graduate school working on an MA in history. I’m taking 9 hours, this will be hard enough as it is. I got offered a job overnight for 2 days a week = 16 hrs. This is being a computer lab monitor, so it’s job I would be able to study at. I already have 2 other jobs, as a tutor I get 8 hours a week,, and I do substitute teaching which brings me about 24 hours a week.
Should I take the night job for 16 hours? I would be able to study at it, but I’m worried that this will be too much for me to handle at once, and maybe I should take it easier. Can you do graduate school and work 48 hours a week?

Is it possible to be a composer without going to graduate school?
Filed Under grad school | 2 Comments
I completed my BA in music composition on a full scholarship, and I want to be a composer (I write experimental/’new music’ works), but I can’t really afford graduate school, and I can’t find any good experimental graduate programs. Can I still make it as a composer somehow without graduate school?

How to get into a law school with an low undergraduate gpa and a high graduate gpa?
Filed Under grad school | 2 Comments
I must be honest with this post, I received a B.S. Poltical Science degree, however, I graduate with a very low gpa. Well, lets just say it is below a 2.5( terrible right)? Although my last two years of college I bounced back with my grades but we all know once you dig that hole it is hard to get out. Well, I decided to attend graduate school and I just finished getting my MPA degree with a 3.41 graduate gpa. I have always want to go to law school but I am somewhat deterred due to my low undergraduate gpa and academic probation and expulsion. I do understand that I will have to take the LSAT and do well on it to have any chances in getting into any law schools. In addition to my graduate degree, I have two years of work expereince in the law enforcement field(non-officer). Well, any suggestions that anyone can give will be great. Thanks!!!
