Graduate Schools

I want to apply for graduate school, but having to pay back a school loan terrifies me. I also wonder if the course work is going to break me down having a job and being a mother. If you are in grad school or have finished, what is your advice?
To answer your question, it is in the teaching field. That is odd to know alot of people don’t have full time jobs while in graduate school. Everyone I know who goes to graduate school or has already graduated had to go part time because they worked. Interesting idea, but I can’t quit my job to go full-time.

I currently go to UCLA, but I heard a myth about the fact that it will be harder to get into the same degree-granting institution for law or grad school because schools tend to welcome people from different backrounds. Meaning they want new students, and out with the old.

I’m currently an electrical engineering major but will be going for my MBA after I graduate in Spring of next year. I want to switch schools for my MBA, however I don’t know when I should start sending applications out. Probably sometime this fall, but when? Most of the application deadlines are in December but is it the same for grad school?

Also, my gpa is currently around 2.75…that is low, but will it be put into consideration that I’m moving from electrical engineering, one of the more difficult majors, to business? If they weigh that in they might accept a lower gpa for grad school but I’m not sure. I’m going to try hard to get it over a 3.00 my final year, but it won’t show on my application, unless I apply late or take a year or semester off or something.
